A description of a highly interactive multicamera-multimonitor closed circuit TV system that permits a teacher and the handicapped students to be in continuous visual communication with one another. This system is being proof-tested in a resource room for handicapped children in an elementary school in Santa Monica, California. Although it is too soon to make definitive statements regarding the value of the system in educating handicapped children, teacher and project staff observation to date indicates that it is not only proving to be of great help to partially sighted children, but that it is also assisting those who are educable mentally retarded or hearing impaired.
