D. Garfinkel, C. B. Morbach, Norman Shapiro

ResearchPublished 1978

A review of stiff differential equations (SDEs) addressed to the nonspecialist who wishes to solve a system of stiff differential equations, with emphasis on how to apply the available methodology to his problem. After a discussion of the historical development of the treatment of SDEs and a statement of the problem, methods of solution are described and compared. A section on "Advice to the User" outlines suggested approaches and solutions. 31 pp. Ref.
