A survey of the background and development of the Russian Pavlovian revival, based on Soviet scientific discussions and theoretical journals. The author attempts to show that the new Pavlovianism occurs from "transformism" and is utilized by the Russians as a scientific technique of mind control and as an effective political weapon.
