A study to determine the Gr*uneisen constant, as evaluated from the equation of state, for an Einstein solid. The presence of a state of finite hydrostatic pressure is considered by Murnaghan's theory of finite strain in order to determine the Gr*uneisen parameters on the Debye and Einstein models
