Lunar instrument carrier: landing factors.

One of a series of research memoranda dealing with a possible rocket to the moon. The present study discusses the problem of landing an instrument package on the moon. The probable nature of the moon's surface is considered as a limiting factor on the velocity of impact, the angle of infall, and the construction of the rocket carrying the instrument package.
