A review of similitude theory in ground shock problems

A review of the available data on the dynamic behavior of soils, analyzing possible theories of soil dynamics. The results of this investigation are used to discuss the applicability of model scaling laws to the solution of ground-shock problems. In addition, the usefulness of model studies as an aid in the evaluation of theories of soil dynamics is considered.
