An extension to RM-2896-PR, Widths and Heights of (0,1)-Matrices. This earlier study introduces the notion of the a-width of a (0,1)-matrix and obtains a formula for the minimal a-width taken over the class of all (0, 1)-matrices having specified row and column sums. This memorandum pre- sents a simple construction that produces a matrix having the property that its a-widths are minimal for all a.
