Further mathematical results concerning the behavior of a beam of radiation passing through an inhomogeneous flat layer of atmosphere. This Memorandum considers the diffuse reflection of parallel rays by an inhomogeneous flat layer as a limiting process of the diffuse reflection of a pencil of radiation and of a Heaviside step-function input of parallel rays.
