A study concerned with the possibility of failure in computer switching elements and with the attainment of more reliable performance from unmanned space-borne systems. When such elements fail, they assume either an "on" state or an "off" state, regardless of the instructions from the controller. A method is developed whereby the probability of a network of unreliable switches remaining in either state is made as small as desired. 41 pp
