An investigation of the amount of velocity or energy required to correct an orbit to a near-perfect, circular, equatorial orbit with a period of one sidereal day. The required velocity is shown to be a function of the satellite position and velocity errors at the time correction is to be performed, as well as certain parameters inherent in the "guidance law." The results in their final form permit computation of the corrective velocity as a function of initial injection cut-off errors and errors arising from perturbative accelerations.
