A series of eleven RAND translations of foreign journal and newspaper articles that appeared during 1962 and 1963. The articles, in French, German and Russian, deal with the state of East Germany after the building of the Berlin wall, Soviet boasts of global rockets, German views on defense, the Berlin crisis, the Cuban crisis, the friction in the Atlantic Alliance after January 1963, and France's pursuit of a national nuclear armament.
