Ocean-Current Models Using Potential Vorticity.

The development of a continuous two-layer theory for and mathematical model of the Gulf Stream and a continuous theory for a three-layer model of the Cromwell Current (equatorial undercurrent) of the Pacific Ocean. Computer solutions are obtained from the models of both currents. The mathematical results show reasonably good agreement with observed data. The research is related to the environmental conditions affecting water basing studies
