A Simulation Model of an Inertial Guidance System Repair Shop: A Planning Tool.

A description of a simulation model to help system planners determine resource requirements to test and repair an expected number of failed ICBM guidance systems in some average repair cycle time. From estimates of shop load and a set of resources, the model will measure resource performance in terms of the average repair cycle time. Resources considered are direct personnel, test equipment, and component spares. The model is written in SIMSCRIPT for use on the IBM 7090 series. Included in the Memorandum are discussions of the general problem, of a typical guidance system repair shop and the most useful types of outputs, of the structure and details of the model, and of the preparation of the data deck. 113 pp
