A study of the problem of base level stockage policy for recoverable items. The authors describe initial results of a digital computer program that considers repair characteristics and unit cost by item in the computation of item stock levels. These levels will achieve a specified aggregate base fill rate across all recoverable items with the least dollar investment in base recoverable inventory.
