A study of completely coherent (synchronous) detection of signals in noise by sequential probability ratio tests (SPRT); i.e., sequential detection. The results are useful in any situation in which the signal to be detected is known at the receiver. In radar, this means when the r-f phase, arrival time, doppler shift, and amplitude at the pulses to be received are known. Other cases are also treated. 66 pp.
