The determination of certain physical properties of an Einstein-Riemann space (momentum-energy distributions and equations of motion), given a time-oriented normal congruence and the deformation of the metric tensor along the trajectories of this congruence. Since the geometrical information can often be inferred from astronomical observations, the results presented in this Memorandum allow one to determine the unknown physical processes that give rise to such geometrical observables. 26 pp
