An extension to an adaptive procedure of results previously estimated by segmental differential approximation. In this memorandum, the computations are reduced as the number of switchings occurring becomes large, relative to the number of subcircuits present in the system; there is an innate quality control on the approximation. The method may be further refined for linear electrical systems. 15 pp. (See also RM-3482, RM-4266, RM-4269.)
