A survey of the institutional setting in which base-level maintenance is performed in the Soviet Air Force, the chief areas of apparent difficulty, and some of the solutions advanced. While a number of topics are touched upon, the main discussion concerns maintenance management. The time period considered is between 1960 and 1964.
