A report of a study into what happens when an observer and his natural limitations are introduced into cosmological theories based on the Einstein theory. Conclusions concerning the cosmological metric tensor are given. In addition, a basic indeterminism in any relativistic cosmology, both in the field equations and in the equations of motion, is demonstrated.
