In studies of the design, sensitivity, and identification of linear systems, it is necessary to know the changes in the response and in the characteristic frequencies occasioned by a change in a system parameter. This is studied for the vector-matrix problem, and basic systems of differential equations are obtained for the solutions and the eigenvalues.
