Policymaking in Traditional Architecture and Urbanism

A Literature Review

Traditional architecture and urbanism refers to design that uses local materials, construction techniques, and cultural practices to develop sustainable built environments that support community well-being. In this report, the authors present findings from a literature review to examine traditional architecture and urbanism’s conceptualization, challenges of and barriers to relevant policies, and implementation strategies for these concepts.
