Kate Brockie is an analyst at RAND Europe in the Education, Employment and Skills research group, specialising in youth employment research. Alongside her work at RAND Europe, Brockie convenes and lectures a postgraduate research methods course on mixed methods research at the University of Cambridge. She has expertise in quantitative analysis of labour force survey data and time use survey data, and in conducting cross-cultural qualitative research with vulnerable populations. Brockie has worked as a consultant to produce research on youth labour markets, the Youth Guarantee, and unpaid care work for various multilateral and nongovernmental organisations, including the International Labour Organization.
Prior to joining RAND Europe, she completed her Ph.D. in geography at the University of Cambridge, which was a mixed-methods study of young women not in employment, education or training (NEET) in Bangladesh.
