Sorana Bucseneanu is a junior analyst at RAND Europe on the Health and Care team. She is particularly interested in the intersection between public policy, research, innovation, and mental health, especially in how evidence can inform decision‑making and translate into meaningful change in practice. Since joining RAND, Bucseneanu has contributed to a wide range of projects. These include updating national guidance for mental health services on safeguarding people from the risk of radicalisation; mapping UK addiction treatment datasets and identifying barriers to their use in research and policymaking; and exploring how novel treatment paradigms (including digitally-enabled mental health therapies) could be responsibly implemented within the NHS to improve patient care quality, safety, and system efficiency. She is a mixed‑methods researcher with expertise spanning qualitative and quantitative approaches, including desk research, literature reviews, interviews, workshops, and statistical analysis. She holds an M.Sc. in social cognition from University College London (UCL).
