Costs of Airbase Survivability Options

This report presents cost data for active defenses, passive defenses, and air base recovery capabilities. The report was prepared under the auspices of a Project AIR FORCE study entitled Enhancing the Wartime Continuity of Air Operations from NATO's Central Region Airbases. The parent study seeks to identify preferred basing, protection, recovery, and operational concepts to enhance the survivability and operability of airpower in a conventional/chemical war.
