On July 10, 1993, the RAND Graduate School held its eighth Commencement exercises in Santa Monica, California. This Paper contains the commencement address given by Senator Bill Bradley of New Jersey, remarks made at the exercises by Newton N. Minow, Henry S. Rowen, and Donald H. Rumsfeld, the three recipients of the School's honorary doctoral degrees, as well as the student speakers' remarks made by Kevin Jack Riley and Andrea Steiner. It also contains remarks made by RAND's president, James A. Thomson, and by Charles Wolf, Jr., Dean of the RAND Graduate School.
