An attempt to determine the capabilities and operating costs of potential transport aircraft. This report (1) illustrates how aircraft should be compared in performing a logistics job by providing a sample operational analysis of transport airplane use and (2) discusses the design and analysis of many possible future transport aircraft which could be operational in 8 to 10 years if the necessary engine and airframe development were carried on from the present time.
