Two Charged Spherical Conductors in a Uniform Electric Field

A complete solution to the electrostatic boundary value problem of two charged conducting spheres in a uniform electric field. Rapidly convergent expressions are given for the forces acting on the spheres and for the maximum field strength between them. Numerical results are presented for a number of relative sphere sizes and separations.
