A suggested method for integration of major contractor financial reporting requirements

David K. Whitcomb

ResearchPublished 1965

Description of an integrated information system for contractor cost reporting, proposed to meet the need for a unified system for collecting financial information covering long-range planning, program control, and historical record-keeping (databank) functions in weapon system development. The system provides a condensed yet comprehensive report package through combination and condensation of the reporting requirements included primarily in the AFSC Contractor Cost Study, the PERT-Cost System, and the Defense Contractors' Planning Report. Major specifications of a single underlying data collection system capable of producing all the required formats are presented. 91 pp. Bibliog.
