Making Energy Transitions Work
Defining Success and Metrics for Tracking Progress

The global energy landscape is undergoing a deep transformation in light of technological changes and the climate crisis. In this paper, the author examines how a successful energy transition can be defined, measured, and evaluated across different contexts. Based on an analysis of six conceptualizations of success interlinked with six key dimensions, the paper provides a holistic framework for understanding and measuring this complex transformation.
