This paper provides public comment in response to the National Science Foundation’s Request for Information, on behalf of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, concerning the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) action plan. The authors identify the highest priority policy actions that the U.S. government can take to improve energy capacity, which is key to accelerating AI progress and maintaining U.S. competitiveness.
This research was conducted by the Technology and Security Policy Center within RAND Global and Emerging Risks.
