Christina Crowley is a Ph.D. student in the Research, Analysis, and Design stream at the RAND School of Public Policy and an assistant policy analyst at RAND. She has an M.P.H. in epidemiology and a B.S. in public health from Tulane University in New Orleans. Her research interests include health care, health equity and policy strategies that improve population health and socio-economic well-being.
Prior to joining RAND, she was a public health epidemiologist at the Rhode Island Department of Health, conducting syndromic surveillance using pre-hospital patient care records and evaluating outcomes of expanded distribution of naloxone among law enforcement agencies on subsequent opioid overdose reversals. She developed operations metrics for COVID-19 contact tracing and case investigation and analyzed hospital reports for COVID-19 surveillance. Her past research experience as research project director/senior research assistant investigated preventative strategies to reduce transmission of HIV, hepatitis C, and sexually transmitted diseases, specifically in the LGBTQ+ community and persons with substance use disorder.
