David Laffey is an M.Phil. student at the RAND School of Public Policy and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. His research operates at the intersection of media policy, economic development, and the role of media in geopolitical competition.
David brings over a decade of private-sector experience to his research, being an owner/operator of his management and production firm representing award-winning creatives. A member of the Television Academy, he has produced documentaries on complex subjects like the Colombian peace process and has guest lectured at universities across the country. He holds an M.F.A. in motion pictures from the University of Miami and a B.S. in business management from the University of Delaware.
