Zsofia Wolford is a senior analyst and deputy head of National Security and Intelligence at RAND Europe. Her focus areas include the defence industrial base, national resilience, deterrence, futures and foresight methods, defence skills, and illicit trade. Her most recent projects focused on novel effectors' implications for strategic stability, European conventional capability development efforts, and European access to space. Wolford is experienced at leading and managing complex projects, using various methods such as literature review, OSINT, net assessment, wargaming, and future and foresight methods, among others. Prior to joining RAND, Wolford worked in strategic risk consulting, policy research, and as an intelligence analyst at NATO SHAPE. She holds an M.Sc. in global security from the University of Glasgow and an M.A. in international relations and human rights from Eotvos Lorand University.
