To support the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency's development and evaluation of innovative education technologies, RAND analyzed several complexities associated with assessing the benefits and implementation challenges of these technologies.
This research was conducted for DARPA within the Acquisition and Technology Policy Center of RAND's National Defense Research Institute,
a federally funded research and development center sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the unified commands, and the defense agencies.
This report is part of the RAND Corporation Draft series. The unrestricted draft was a product of the RAND Corporation from 1993 to 2003 that represented preliminary or prepublication versions of other more formal RAND products for distribution to appropriate external audiences. The draft could be considered similar to an academic discussion paper. Although unrestricted drafts had been approved for circulation, they were not usually formally edited or peer reviewed.
