
How Practicing Surgeons Trained for Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

This paper describes a 1989-1991 study on the training for laparoscopic cholecystectomy received by general surgeons who were already in practice when the laparoscopic procedure was introduced. The authors assessed variations in training over time and adequacy of training relative to the 1992 SAGES guidelines.
