This short paper estimates time to ineffectiveness for NATO personnel exposed to varying levels of radiation from nuclear attack. The analysis is part of RAND's study of the vulnerability of NATO nuclear forces, sponsored by the Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Program Analysis and Evaluation.
