This note critiques and offers recommendations for improvement for the RAND AHAB (Attacking Hardened Air Bases) interactive decision aid, documented in R-1422 (Carl Richard Neu, Attacking Hardened Air Bases (AHAB): A Decision Analysis Aid for the Tactical Commander, 1974). AHAB simulates outcomes of air strikes against Warsaw Pact air bases and provides an assessment of a commander's utility function regarding those outcomes.
