Gabriella Franchi is a research analyst at RAND Europe in the Science and Emerging Technology team. She specialises in energy and the environment, with work centering on evaluation, analysis, modelling, and data-driven research to inform decision-making in areas such as waste management, the circular economy, and sustainable policy development. She brings strong expertise in stakeholder engagement and translating evidence into actionable insights that support effective, long-term environmental strategies.
Before joining RAND Europe, Franchi was an environmental consultant at Eunomia Research and Consulting, where she conducted carbon assessments, market analyses, and policy evaluations for government bodies, international organisations, and private-sector clients. She also managed high-profile projects, including providing secretariat services to the RDF Industry Group, a European trade association dedicated to the movement of Waste Derived Fuel across the continent.
Franchi earned her M.Sc. in environmental monitoring for management from Loughborough University.
