Nathan Thompson is an adjunct associate policy researcher at RAND. Concurrently, he is an implementation coach with RLG International, facilitating the application of personnel management best practices for companies in heavy industry. His research interests include federal organizational management, military personnel, leadership development, and policy implementation.
In prior roles, he has worked for the U.S. Department of State and the American Enterprise Institute. He earned his Ph.D. in policy analysis from the RAND School of Public Policy, his M.Sc. in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and his B.A. in political science and economics from Furman University.
