Katie Sykes is an analyst at RAND Europe and a member of the Education, Employment and Skills team. Her primary research interests are in employment, wellbeing, and occupational safety and health.
Sykes has a broad research background. She began her career as a humanities researcher, gaining a Ph.D. in Slavonic studies. More recently, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in social science research methods at UCL, focusing on the application of quantitative methods to social science topics. Since joining RAND, she has worked across the Education, Employment and Skills team's portfolio, focusing on programme evaluations and evidence reviews.
