Changes in State Firearm Mortality

This visualization provides users with information about the rates of firearm deaths from homicides, suicides, and accidents in the United States from 1979 to 2020. Users can select firearm deaths, firearm suicides, firearm homicides, total suicides, or total homicides and explore the national rate and the rates in each state. Users can also explore when each state implemented different types of gun laws.
