Susan Lovejoy is a senior policy analyst at RAND. She provides qualitative research support and project management across a wide range of subjects, such as provider performance measurement, value-based purchasing, Medicare physician payment, patient safety, physical and behavioral health integration, maternal/child health, and veteran health care. She manages and contributes to CMS, ASPE, and AHRQ projects such as analysis of Medicare global payment for procedures, analysis of prescription drug pricing, and implementation and testing of diagnostic safety tools. She was the project manager and a research contributor for a congressionally mandated assessment of VA healthcare resources and capabilities. Lovejoy has a Master of Science in health care policy and management from the H. John Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University.
